ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS

Recognition at graduation. The College of Engineering recognizes high academic achievement by designating as an honors graduate a student who has earned on this campus at least 64 of the total semester hours required for the bachelor of science degree and whose grade point average at The University of Alabama falls in one of these categories:

GPA			Honors Designation
3.900-4.000			summa cum laude
3.700-3.899			magna cum laude
3.500-3.699			cum laude

The minimum averages of 3.900, 3.700, and 3.500 may not be achieved by rounding.
