ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS
Recognition of Academic Achievement
The faculty of the College of Education recognizes the outstanding academic achievement of its students by bestowing three levels of honors with the bachelor's degree.
- The summa cum laude honors designation requires a grade point average of 3.9 or higher for all college-level work attempted.
- The magna cum laude honors designation requires a grade point average of 3.7 or higher, but less than 3.9, for all college-level work attempted.
- The cum laude honors designation requires a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, but less than 3.7, for all college-level work attempted.
The required averages of 3.9, 3.7, and 3.5 cannot be achieved by rounding. Averages are calculated based on performance in all courses in which the student has enrolled prior to receiving the degree.
