DEGREES AND PROGRAMS OFFERED

The College of Education offers undergraduate programs leading to the bachelor of science in education degree in the following teacher education programs:

Concentrations leading to the baccalaureate degree are offered also in the following fields, but these concentrations do not lead to teacher certification:

A student enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences may be admitted to a teacher education program and may complete, in addition to the requirements for an arts and sciences degree, programs for teacher certification in the following areas:

A student enrolled in New College, a division of the College of Arts and Sciences, may be admitted to a teacher education program and may complete, in addition to requirements for a degree in that division, certain teaching programs. These programs must be arranged in advance of registration and approved by the appropriate area head in the College of Education. A student enrolled in the Graduate School may be admitted to one of the College of Education's alternative (nontraditional, fifth-year) certification programs in order to complete a master's degree and obtain initial licensure (Class A) in a broad range of teaching fields.
