SPECIAL ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

The following programs offer University of Alabama students special academic opportunities. The programs listed in this section are neither honors programs nor financial aid or scholarships (for information about University honors programs, see "Honors Programs," p. 52; for information about financial aid and scholarships, see "Student Financial Aid and Scholarships," p. 32, and appropriate divisional sections of this catalog). Instead, these programs offer undergraduate students opportunities for new academic experiences, hands-on or on-the-job training, and cultural exchange. All University of Alabama students are encouraged to participate in these programs as appropriate to their degree programs and personal and professional goals. Such programs offer unique ways to enrich your college experience, build your resumé, and explore career choices.
